Even if your company is registered just to own a property and not actively trading, it is still subject to control and inspection by the local tax officers. Every Bulgarian company has tax and administrative reporting obligations which have to be performed periodically.
Although established only for land acquisition you need professionals to handle these obligations. If the company accounts are not kept accordingly or if deadlines are not met, your company will be seriously fined and should expect future inspections from the tax office! The penalties vary!
In addition to that, there are Bulgarian Local Property taxes which are payable quarterly and vary per location/municipality. Usually they consist of Garbage fee and Council Tax. The taxes are calculated in compliance with the Tax evaluation of the property and the rates accepted by each different Bulgarian Municipality.
